My life begins in India by experiencing the hot, suffocating urban environs of Calcutta. It shifts to early school days on the dazzling peaks of high Himalayas, and continues to more education and family life in Michigan and adventures in Mexico, then wandering to the frozen landscapes of Lithuania.

My lifespan intersects the culture and geography of countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. 

Adjusting, adapting, and flourishing in each of the cultures is my challenge, as my family of four children and six grandchildren move into their own cultural experiences.

The loss of my wife of thirty-seven years was devastating for myself and my children.

My life’s choices bring me to retirement as a happy married man engaged with ventures and activities each day – including international projects with my church and Rotary. Also, there is the enjoyment of tennis three times a week!
